Emergency Response - Swimming Pool
The Emergency Response - Swimming Pool Certificate is for pool staff not directly responsible for supervising the pool, certificated through the Royal Life Saving Society UK; training plus assessment takes two days.

Who should attend?
- Staff at swimming pools at venues whose thorough risk assessment and compliance with the HSE document Managing Health and safety in swimming pools HSG 179 indicates that lifeguards are not required, such as small hotel pools, gyms, spas etc
- Or, staff supporting lifeguards in emergency situations i.e. cleaning staff, receptionists, duty managers
Pre-requisites:
16 years of age at the start of the course;
be able to swim 25 metres continuously
